Welcome to Gayton Primary School. 

Gayton Primary School is a happy, nurturing and welcoming school. We promote a strong family atmosphere where each person is actively encouraged to show care, kindness and genuine interest in the welfare of others. Central to this is our Crew Ethos: 'Be the reason that somone feels welcomed, seen, heard, valued, loved and supported.' This ethos shapes how we treat one another every day and is reflected in the attitudes of our children, staff and wider school community, as well as being at the heart of all school policies and values. 

We are incredibly proud of our school and its community. Our mission is to nurture positive minds so as to create positive futures for all our pupils, ensuring every child feels safe, confident and able to flourish. 

As a school, we promote high standards of achievement and attainment for all pupils, while encouraging them to become creative, reflective and resilient learners. We want our children to develop the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world, alongside a strong sense of their rights and responsibilities and an understanding of the importance of caring for the well- being of others. 

We offer a creative and imaginative curriculum designed to engage, challenge and inspire curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Our Vision Statement- ' to provide a well-balanced education which develops and extends the whole child ensuring the highest standards of attainment and personal growth' -reflects our ongoing commitment to improving provision and opportunities for every pupil.
